From Closed Off to Wide Open
Beverly, MA First Floor Renovation | Designed Entirely In-House
The Challenge
11 Years of "Making It Work"
After more than a decade in their home, this Beverly family was ready to fix the layout that had frustrated them since day one.

"You couldn't open the oven at the same time as the fridge. They would smash into each other. It was unbelievable."

"There was a huge wall that blocked off the whole kitchen. I'd be cooking and my husband couldn't see me. I'd have to peek my head around the corner."

"Once you sat down, you were there for the night. If someone needed to leave, everyone had to get up."

"All the light from the skylight didn't go anywhere. There were walls blocking everything."
The Vision
Designed Entirely In-House
This wasn't a project that needed to be sent out. Our team designed every detail, from the floor plan reconfiguration to Rick's hand-drawn staircase plans.
The challenge: removing a load-bearing wall while rerouting all the plumbing that ran through it. The solution required walls positioned specifically to accommodate pipes from upstairs, turning an engineering problem into a design opportunity.
